E-mail is possibly the Internet's single most popular use. With it you can:

Emails allow you to contact people around the world, almost instantly and at very low cost. You can send files (such as images or word-processing documents) as 'attachments' and have a range of e-mail addresses, personal and private, for different situations.

How to collect your e-mail

There are two methods for collecting e-mail via Hide N Seek. There is no price implication.

We can store (queue) your incoming e-mail on our own servers. With this option you configure your e-mail software to look on our servers for your e-mail. Mail gets downloaded directly from our servers to your machine.

We can forward all e-mail to an existing e-mail account. So if you have an e-mail account with another Internet Service Provider, Hide N Seek will simply instruct our servers to send all your e-mail to that account. All addressing information is retained so you can tell which of your e-mail addresses each mail message was sent to.

Other E-mail Services

Additional POP3 mail accounts

Hide N Seek can provide additional e-mail POP3 accounts. This allows you to queue some of your e-mail in a separate queue to be downloaded independently. You could thus have an e-mail address salesoffice2@yourdomain.co.uk as a different POP3 account, allowing your two sales offices to collect e-mail independently.

Unlimited Multiple Forwarding

Introduction

Hide N Seek has developed an interface to make your e-mail service even easier to control. If you have taken out the Multiple Email Forwarding option, we can provide a web page that allows you to specify forwarding information for any of your e-mail addresses. With this facility you can specify mappings such as those below:

sales@yourdomain.co.uk --> existing@e-mail.address.1

info@yourdomain.co.uk --> existing@e-mail.address.2

john@yourdomain.co.uk --> johns.e-mail@ddress.with.demon

peter@yourdomain.co.uk --> peters.e-mail@ddress.with.pipex

These mappings can be changed as often as you like via the web page.

Welcome to the demonstration pages for Hide N Seek's pioneering Multiple Email Forwarding web page. This control panel will allow you to control your own e-mail forwarding, 24 hours a day, using your own Multiple Email Forwarding account administration page. All Mail Map web pages are password protected for your security.

Above is an illustration of a Multiple Email Forwarding web page for a fictitious company called "Pierce Ltd". They have a domain name pierce.co.uk, therefore they are keen to collect e-mail addressed to employee-name@pierce.co.uk, and forward it to the e-mail account provided by their Internet Service Provider.

By filling in the 'name' field our client has defined the employee name, and by filling in the 'forwarded to' field our client has defined the e-mail account to which that employee's e-mail will be sent. Note that in the 'name' field you should only type the employee's name (i.e. "john-smith") and not employee-name@pierce.co.uk (i.e. "john-smith@pierce.co.uk). In the 'forwarded to' field you should type in the full e-mail address (i.e. "john-smith@pierce.dial-up serviceprovider.co.uk). Users can be Added or Removed from the configuration using the appropriate buttons.

As you can see from our demo page, our client has set up e-mail addressed to john-smith@pierce.co.uk to be sent to his e-mail account with CompuServe, and e-mail addressed to sales@pierce.co.uk to be sent to an e-mail account at Pipex. There is no limit to how many e-mail forwarding facilities that can be set up on this system.

Our client has also instructed our systems to send any e-mail addressed to name@pierce.co.uk, where the name is not recognised, to be sent by default to the CompuServe account, rather than be bounced back to the sender. You can define the default mailbox using the Set Default button.

The Multiple Email Forwarding web page is available free to any subscribers to the Hide N Seek e-mail services, though the level of flexibility offered varies according to which domain package you have purchased.
